About Us

Trade Chart Desk is a free educational site that explains how crypto traders read charts, market data and risk. It is written for self-directed learners who want to understand what a tool actually measures before they rely on it.

What you will find here

  • Technical Analysis: how indicators and chart patterns are calculated, what their default settings mean, and where they mislead.
  • Trading Strategies: complete rule sets you can write down and test yourself, including how they fail.
  • Risk Management: position sizing, stop placement, leverage and the arithmetic of losses.
  • Market Data & On-Chain: funding rates, open interest, ETF flows and other data, with notes on where the numbers come from.
  • Macroeconomics: how scheduled economic data and interest rates interact with crypto markets.

How we write articles

  • Formulas and definitions are checked against primary sources such as exchange documentation, index providers, regulators and charting-platform references, and linked in the article.
  • Examples use illustrative numbers. When an article walks through a calculation, the figures are labeled as illustrative and the arithmetic is shown so you can redo it.
  • Every method includes its failure cases. We explain when a setup tends to break down and how you can test it on your own data.
  • No trade signals, price predictions or profit claims. We do not tell readers what to buy or sell.

The full standard is described in our Editorial Policy. We are reviewing older articles against it and updating them as we go.
