This page explains how articles on Trade Chart Desk are researched, written and corrected.
Purpose
We explain how chart tools, market data and risk calculations work so readers can judge them for themselves. We do not publish trade signals, price targets or profit claims.
Sources
- Formulas, default settings and definitions are checked against primary or reference sources: exchange and data-provider documentation, regulators, central banks and statistical agencies, and charting-platform help pages.
- Sources that support specific facts are linked in the article text.
- When a provider’s methodology is unclear or has changed, we say so rather than filling the gap with assumptions.
Examples
- Worked examples use labeled, illustrative numbers. We show the arithmetic so readers can reproduce it.
- We do not invent backtest results, win rates, historical events or chart cases. If we have not tested something, we explain how a reader could test it instead.
- Charts and images are conceptual illustrations unless stated otherwise.
Balance and limits
Each method is presented with the conditions in which it tends to fail, common mistakes, and the costs (fees, slippage, leverage) that affect real results.
Updates and corrections
- Articles are reviewed when exchange rules, data methodologies or market structure change.
- Readers can report errors through the Contact page. Confirmed factual errors are corrected in the article.
